Many of our guests have different questions about Cedar Grove Camp and most answers to questions can be found within the other pages of our website, but some are not so obvious – so here are some of the others;

Q: Can I rent a motor boat?

A: No
Due to increased Insurance costs we no longer rent motorized boats

Q: Can I have a campfire at my Cabin?

A: No.
Insurance requirements and the fact that our cabins are too close to the many cedar trees clustered together along the lake front, open flames of any type are not permitted near the cabins. We have a central firepit where guests can arrange to have an evening fire.

Q: Is there running water or washrooms in the cabins?

A: No.

None of our cabins have washrooms or running water in them. The cabins are much too close to the lake to connect to our septic system. UV treated and filtered potable water, for washing dishes, etc., is available at our well and must be brought to the cabin using blue water jugs provided in each cabin. Washrooms, with hot showers, are located a short distance from all cabins and are available, free of charge, 24 hours a day.

Q: Can I bring my dog with me?

A: Yes

Dogs are welcomed at Cedar Grove Camp but MUST be leashed AT ALL TIMES while outdoors ( this includes while swimming). We have a limit of two dogs per cabin and they must not be left alone in the cabin. Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets. Rate is $5/night per dog.
(Sorry - no other types of pets are allowed)

Q: What do I need to bring along with me?

A: Almost nothing.

All of our cabins come fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, eating utensils, all bedding, outdoor picnic table and spectacular sunsets. Required items to bring are a flashlight, bath/beach towels, bug spray, food, bottled water/beverages and any other personal items that you may require on a daily basis. Bring a BBQ if you like to cook outdoors and a good book and positive attitude are also helpful on those rare rainy days.

Q: How do I make a reservation?

A: Easy.

Reservations can be made in one of two ways – by phone (519-534-1927) or by email at cedargrovecamp@gmail.com. Either way, before your reservation can be confirmed we will require a non-refundable deposit equal to one nights stay plus HST. Since we do not accept credit or debit cards, a certified cheque, money order (made payable to Cedar Grove Camp) or an Interac E-Transfer must be made to us at least 2 weeks prior to your planned stay. We will confirm your reservation immediately – when we receive your deposit. Your balance will be payable,in CASH ONLY, UPON YOUR ARRIVAL.

Q: When is Check-in and Check-out?

A: Check-in is 3pm-9pm and Check-out is 11am
Extra fees may apply for late check-in/ check-out
